Do you see any difference between Musharraf and Zardari?

Zardari is following the policies of Musharaf?
Same old drone attacks, suicide bombings, inflation, load shedding. Can we see any positive change in Pakistan?

  6. I do agree with you that Zardari has effectively not done enough to distinguish himself from Musharraf. The foreign policy, the stance on drone attacks, unconditional slavery to America, feeding corrupt ministers etc. It all reminds us of Musharraf years and with persecution of lawyers and restrictions on media the similarities magnify. I do hope we see some change in Pakistan but I believe it would be brought by someone else. Nice effort on your part to highlight this fact

  7. absolutely yes. he's in fact employing even more cunning into politics. while musharaf's stance was outright and obvious, his motives are murky unclear and deceptive; we simply do not know what his moves are going to be. he's worse than any dictator, and it's indeed highly unfortunate that a thieving kniving robber has cashed in on his wife's death to sit on top of us all as our president. down with zardari.

  8. And well they do have one stark difference, Zaradi might be corrupt, bad for country but we have to remember he is the DEMOCRATICALLY elected leader. If we elected him then its our fault. Maybe we all need to vote next time to bring a change. On the other hand Musharraf is a dictator, who massacred constitution, democracy and judiciary to quench his desire for power. He is arguably the worst thing that happened to this country( Maybe Zia Ul Haq was worse)If today we are in such a sorry state he is single handedly responsible for all this

  9. So just reinforcing what I stated earlier, a dictator ruling us by principle is wrong on any given day. Let empower ourselves that we break from this hex and elect people who can truly bring a change in this country. We all need to take our share of responsibilty be politically aware and make a genuine effort to bring a change in this country.
    PEACE!

  10. Obviously Musharraf. He has done a lot for the development of Pakistan, anyone who denies this doesnt know what was going on wrt economy, media, foreign relations, social reforms, political reforms, women and minority rights, education etc. Sure he had many flaws, but which human, let alone a president, doesn't? On the whole, I think he was perhaps one of the best leader Pakistan has had in a very very very long time. He cant just wave a magic stick and make all of the problems of Pakistan go away in a blink of an eye.

As for him being corrupt, did he have millions of $$$ in his bank account? Has he ever been accused of a fraud from an authentic source? Is he currently in the hideout in London or New York like some of our so-called ex-leaders?

We as Pakistanis have grown too used to criticizing to realize when we see good, and so are reaping the reward......In the words of the famous critic of Musharraf, Hasan Nisar, "pervez Musharraf yaad aye ga, aur zara 2 saal guzarne to day aur app dekha hota kia hai" and we can all see

  13. yes i agree with Omar, since he`s gone now therefore it doesnt seems that any action will be taken against him....though i myself feel that musharraf`s policies regarding lal masjid issues were wrong, and can easliy be said to have dismantled his regime soon afterwards...
